We know how painful it can be to suffer personal injury or to sustain a loss of personal property due to criminal activity. We see it much too often…more than necessary and it doesn’t have to be that way. With your assistance, the Alexandria Police Department can work toward improving crime prevention in your community.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Join the Neighborhood Watch program and find out how to reduce your risk of becoming a victim of crime.
Find out what kinds of crimes are being committed in your community and learn how to protect yourself, your home and your car from criminal activity.
Attend a quarterly meeting held by the Alexandria Police Department’s Community Relations Unit and meet other Block Captains who have joined together to be aware and to inform their respective communities on crime prevention measures.
Teach your neighbors what to look for and to look out for each other.
Find out how you can assist the police in keeping them aware of problems in your community and get to know the police officers assigned to your sector.
Work with your neighbors and the police to prevent crime in your community.
